We had a great day at the Oakland County International Airport Open House and Air Show! Russell was in Heaven surrounded by all the air force planes and army helicopters! He also enjoyed looking at the Michigan survival airplane and helicopter. Sloane had fun exploring the air crafts too, but was most enthusiastic about the kids' area with bounce houses. She would have bounced all day. I finally dragged her away with the promise of an elephant ear - she didn't even know what this was, but her curiosity took over. After the 4 of us shared an elephant ear and a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade, we watched a few planes take off, shook hands with an army pilot, and headed for the car to rest our "aching feet" (Sloane's words). This will definitely be an event we add to our summer calendar for future years!
A few fun pictures to share!
