Sloane's 5th Birthday

Sloane has had a wonderful week of events leading up to her birthday.  It all began on April 15th with her first "friends' party" at Troy Gymnastics.  We had 23 children running around having an absolute blast!  Then... on April 21st, I took Sloane to see the Broadway play Beauty and the Beast at Fisher Theatre in Detroit.  We had a very special mother/daughter day and I know I will forever remember these moments with my baby girl.  And as for today - April 24th - Sloane's actual birthday, we did exactly what she wanted.  #1 Get ears pierced!  #2 Eat hot dogs at the food court!  #3 Pick out cookies from Mrs. Fields!  #4 Open PRESENTS!  What a girl!!!  Here's a digital scrapbook to show a bit of our fun.

A Packed-Full Weekend!

We were busy, busy, busy this weekend having fun, fun, fun! Saturday began with Sloane attending one of her friend's birthday parties. It was held at the Sterling Heights Nature Center where the children explored and learned about animals. They were able to hold turtles, toads, and snakes! Afterward we headed to gymnastic class and Russell headed to karate class. Russell was tested for the next level in which he passed and received the yellow striped belt! He was so excited and Aron and I couldn't be more proud of him!!! We ended our day with a wonderful visit from Aron's Dad, Carl and his wife Beverly. On Sunday, the kids woke up ready to PARTY! Although it's not quite Sloane's birthday yet, we celebrated early with 21 of her friends at the Troy Gymnastic center. What a blast!!! I have lots of pictures to share, but will be saving the birthday ones for a slide show I will post on April 24th - Sloane's actual birthday. For now, here is a couple photos from the weekend...

Spring Break 2012

We had a wonderful spring break and enjoyed EVERY minute of time together! I feel so blessed to have had these days with Russell and Sloane. We made some terrific memories over the past week. I could not choose just a few pictures to share so I put together a slide show to show our fun. Happy Easter to all!!!
