Fun at the Falls

My dad and I decided one morning to take the kids on an adventure to the Taquamenon Falls so I packed a picnic lunch and we headed out for a day of exploring.  The kids enjoyed seeing the falls and hiking the trails.  Their favorite part of the day was taking a row boat across the river to hike around a small island.  It was fun to share this Michigan treasure with the kids.
Our first view of the big falls.
The kids were mesmerized.
Family shot.  We wish AC could have been with us, but he was working.
Dad explains the growth cycle of a tree.
Another cool shot.
Breathtaking.
Rowing across the river.
What a great adventure!
Hiking around the island next to the lower falls.
Love these two!!!

What a great memory! Seeing these pictures makes me miss giving guided tours... Perhaps when the kids are a little older we can take them behind the scenes for an even more mesmerizing experience. :)
